Job Details Housekeeping is a critical component of the Grapetree Bay Hotel and Villas. The sanitation and ambience that guests experience on arrival at the lobby, guest activity areas and in their rooms are the primary deciding factors in choosing Grapetree Bay Hotel and Villas as their next vacation location. The responsibilities of the Housekeeping Attendant include keeping the following areas: the guest rooms, the lobby and other guest activity areas, the front desk area and all other areas utilized and accessed by guests clean and sanitary. The Housekeeping Attendant must ensure that guest rooms, public bathrooms and employee bathrooms are always adequately supplied with linen, soaps, and other amenities. Housekeeping requires the safe use of chemicals, as these chemicals can be dangerous to your health and safety if they are not handled properly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Full Job Description Job Summary Clean guest rooms; make up beds; keep all open spaces clean and free from garbage and other debris at all times; keep bathrooms clean and adequately stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, soap and other amenities; keep guest rooms adequately stocked with clean towels, soap, paper towels and other amenities, keep the gym, gift shop and other common areas clean; inspect guest rooms and report any areas in need of repairs; wash and fold linen; store linen in the correct locations and take inventory of supplies. Duties and Responsibilities Your immediate supervisor is the Housekeeping Supervisor. Keep the common areas of the hotel (lobby, stairs, gym room, front desk area, boutique, meeting room, etc.) clean and well maintained. Clean guest rooms and supply guest rooms with clean linen and other amenities as directed by the supervisor. Remove dirty linen in guest rooms and replace them with clean linen. Retrieve dirty linen from guest rooms and take them to the laundry for washing. Keep restrooms clean and adequately supplied with all necessary amenities. Collect and dispose of trash from guest rooms and common areas. Listen to guests complaints and communicate them with your supervisor, maintenance personnel or front desk personnel for appropriate action. Report any damages in the rooms, broken appliances, blown light bulbs, etc. to maintenance, the front desk, or the supervisor for repair/replacement. Respect guests privacy and adhere to Do Not Disturb signs and other requests. Adhere to the hotels confidentiality and privacy policies and standards. Report and deliver to the front desk, all personal items left in the rooms by guests after their departure. Report all suspicious activities to the supervisor. Organize and supply housekeeping carts with the necessary supplies and amenities. Store and use chemicals as directed by the manufacturer and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment when using chemicals. Perform Laundry duties and responsibilities, to include sorting, washing, drying, folding, ironing, and organizing all hotel linen. Remove linen in disrepair from use. Any other responsibilities given by your supervisor.
