McDermott Human Resources Business Partner in Chiswick, United Kingdom
Job Overview:
To form effective working relationships within the SAF UK business and the Human Resources Department.
Ensure that managers and employees are aware of the policies and procedures and able to operate them effectively and make sound judgement on issues to find workable solutions. Support business requirements in a full range of Business Partnering responsibilities including recruitment, retention, training and development, well-being, employee relations.
Participate in the continual improvement of the service provision by the Human Resource Department in an evolving and changing business need environment.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Building positive relationships with business to enable understanding of the operational challenges and support needed.
Ensure that managers and staff are aware of policies and procedures and able to operate them effectively.
Work collaboratively with internal clients, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits across the SAF UK business line.
Producing offer letters, contracts and manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from recruitment to exit
Management of all starters and leavers, welcoming new colleagues and staff transferring from overseas ensuring a seamless new starter set up including managing visa sponsorship process.
Assistance with Training and Development administration, including management of training funding claim from ECITB, etc.
Managing the annual leave, payroll and other HR processes, including timesheet, etc.
Management of the sickness absence data and right to work checks, and other vital compliance activities, such as supporting audits.
Working collaboratively with HRSC team, GPS, and ensure all HR data entries are correct and upto date in the HR Systems.
Assist in delivering local and global HR initiatives and projects.
Supporting in ER case work such as absence management, diciplinaries, grievances and consultation processes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
CIPD Qualification is preferable.
Broad knowledge of human resources principles, practices and procedures.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to organize and maintain a fluid administrative process.
Good time-management skills and ability to be self-motivated.
High attention to integrity, ethics, and sensitivity, particularly regarding confidential information.
Strong Interpersonal and teamwork skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Be Solution driven ability to work with managers/teams.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Willing to ‘own the problem’ and find creative solutions.
