Aerotek General Production Worker in Chilton, Wisconsin

Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Our company uses a chemical dip system and other specialized coatings removal dipping operations to remove coatings from various metals.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload ovens and tanks

  • Process product through chemical dip system and other specialized coatings removal dipping operations

  • Package product for shipment

  • Comply with the benchmark processing times

  • Rotate parts from the stripping process to the wash bay, RP, dry-off ovens, and packing area

  • Power wash parts and products with a 3000psi power washer

  • Load hand baskets and rotate parts from one basket to the other

  • Identify and sort parts to download into containers

  • Reposition parts

  • Complete wash logs, oven logs, and weight charts

  • Operate scales

  • Start burn off oven and dry-off oven

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

  • Ensure the highest level of safety standards

  • Effectively, timely, and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customers

  • Maintain general housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas

  • Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures

  • Follow WHMIS, MSDS, and all other safety training requirements and procedures

  • Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials

  • Foster a positive work environment

  • Maintain regular and sustained attendance

  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed

Essential Skills

  • General labor

  • Packaging

  • Production

  • 1+ years of manufacturing/production experience

  • Ability to read and interpret documents

  • Great verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to lift 50lbs

  • Forklift operation

  • General production

  • Machine operating

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ years of sit-down forklift experience

  • Experience in the coatings removal industry is a plus

Work Environment

1st Shift: 6:00am – 02:30pm, 2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm. Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat (non-weather) and loud noise levels. This position can work various hours.
