\ Education & Experience Required:\ - Bachelors degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, plastics technology/engineering, materials science, or related field\ \ Technical Skills Required:\ - Proficiency with computer, especially with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook\ - 1-3 years of experience in plastic and/or adhesive material selection, manufacturing, and/or design\ - Ability to learn basic print reading and data analysis tools\ - Experience with Comparing/contrasting material properties\ \ Soft Skills Required:\ - Good organizational skills, ability to work independently, and good oral and written communication skills\ - Willingness and motivation to learn new technologies and concepts\ \ Typical task breakdown:\ - Reviewing material specifications (mostly polymers and adhesives)\ - Consulting with design engineers to determine the suitability of materials for applications\ - Preparing summary reports\ - Attending technical meetings\ - Lab testing as needed\ - Comparing/contrasting material properties\ \ Interaction with team:\ - Daily, one-on-one discussions with various team members and internal clients\ - E-mails and messaging\ - In-person and virtual Teams meetings\ \ Work environment:\ - Office cubicle, test labs\ - Positive, constructive culture
