Job Description
Job Title: Production Maintenance Technician Reports To: General Manager/ Maintenance Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Operations Division: NOLA Revised: October 2021
Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems in accordance with company policies and area specific policies. Performs work safely and efficiently and according to established company procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
Inspects and tests machinery and equipment routinely; as well as conducts safety inspections.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Troubleshoots a variety of industrial equipment using tools such as multi-meters. Also use visual, audio and vibration observations of machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Repairs electrical apparatuses, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
Repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots, relay logic circuits, drives, or programmable controllers.
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
