Army Installation Management Command Food and Beverage Attendant (Snack Bar) NA-02 in Chievres Air Base, Belgium
Summary Who May Apply? US Citizens currently residing within the commuting area of Chievres AB, Belgium (not ordinarily resident in Belgium). US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than Belgium. Non-US Nationals must have resided in the US or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. This position is located at the USAG Benelux, DFMWR, Benebrew-Java Cafe, Chievres AB, Belgium. Responsibilities Serves as cashier in the snack bar. Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items. Assures that tables and work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas. Receives payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. May work on a mobile eating cart to deliver food and drink to patrons. Orders fast-food items, condiments and other necessary supplies. Receives delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery. Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited o preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to: 1. Must meet local age requirements at the time of appointment to serve alcoholic beverages. 2. Ability to work without more than normal supervision. 3. Ability to keep things clean and in order. 4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques. 5. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions. 6. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles. 7. Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. 8. Able to lift and move objects up to forty (40) pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach. FWS Allowances and Differentials All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Foreign Overseas Allowances Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) will not be paid for this position.
