We are seeking a Project Manager - Traffic Group to join our Chicago, IL team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct traffic studies and analyze traffic data to determine patterns and trends
Develop transportation plans and design transportation systems that improve safety and mobility including but not limited to traffic signals, signal systems, ITS, signs and markings
Develop traffic signal timing and programming plans
Assist/develop with the preparation of project budgets and schedules
Manage individual projects, including schedule, budgets, project team member in respect to project tasks and client coordination
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations
Assist with project pursuits and business development
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
Prepare reports, specifications, and designs for transportation projects
Stay up-to-date with advances in transportation/traffic engineering and technology
Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
BS degree in Civil Engineering
15 years of experience in traffic engineering
2 years of Project Management type task experience with transportation engineering projects
Graduate degree in transportation engineering or similar area of study may be considered towards experience
Illinois Driver's License
Technical requirements:
Certifications/Licences: PE, PTOE (preferred)
Technical and/or report writing
Experience with CDOT and IDOT District 1 Traffic Signal Design
Federal and Illinois MUTCD
Strong Familiarity with ADA/PROWAG
Experience with Microstation, Vissim, HCS, Synchro
Other miscellaneous qualities:
Travel anticipated for 5% of the time
Dedication to safety and being part safety oriented culture
Open to working off site at client offices
