JPMorgan Chase Technical Implementation Manager - Payments - Senior Associate in Chicago, Illinois

As a Technical Implementation Manager you will be delivering payments and receivables solutions to a diverse set of clients around the globe. You must be able to consult with clients to understand their technical and business needs throughout the implementations process, coordinate multi-disciplinary internal and client teams to deliver in an on-time, efficient manner. You will be responsible for managing complex implementations while also managing multiple requests and clients simultaneously. You must also ensure all approvals, sign-offs and client documentation are obtained, time-lines and responsibilities are communicated, and hand-off is smooth. Ultimately this role is responsible for ensuring client business requirements are understood and satisfied throughout the implementation of Treasury Service customer solutions and delivery against the Request For Proposal (RFP) agreements, while working closely with clients, Sales, Product, Operations, and Client Service.

Job responsibilities:

  • Scope client requests and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications

  • Establish test environments, validate file formats, execute testing, coordinate back-office testing, track test results, and assist the client with resolving errors

  • Manage client and internal partner expectations by establishing timeliness and dependencies with the goal to exceed expectations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the onboarding process

  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are on time

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including developers, engineers and product managers where required to resolve technical issues and ensure successful onboarding

  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients during the onboarding process

  • Provide troubleshooting support to the clients when needed

  • Identify opportunities to improve the API onboarding process and enhance the overall client experience

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • 5 + years of hands on experience with API implementation, infrastructure and test support

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs, including authentication, authorization, and data formats (JSON, XML)

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript

  • Strong client facing experience and ability to quickly convert client requirements into functional specifications accurately

  • Passion for delivering a consistent, stellar client and partner experience

  • Technical project management experience or experience with complex treasury implementations

  • Comfort in a fast paced, dynamic client-facing environment

  • Ability to clearly communicate, partner and influence - leading others to a common goal

  • Exhibit adherence to policy and procedures and meet or exceed established SLA

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Project Management experience or eagerness to learn

  • Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Mulesoft, AWS API Gateway)

  • Payments and Receivables experience or eagerness to learn

  • Curiosity and passion for learning new things

Work schedule

  • This hybrid role requires going into the office three days a week with two days' flexibility to work from home, subject to change
