We are seeking a dynamic IS Senior Technical Trainer to join our Epic Ambulatory team with IS Clinical Systems here at Rush University Medical Center!

This is a Full Time position

80 hours every two weeks

Position Highlights:

The IS Senior Technical Trainer is an expert in their Epic application areas of ownership and is responsible for the development and updating of Epic training curriculum, materials, and classroom environments in addition to maintaining Rush's online Epic training resources. The Senior Technical Trainer will work closely with Technical Trainers to ensure that they are prepared to utilize our products to deliver Epic training to Rush users. The Senior Technical Trainer will also collaborate with Epic application teams and operational owners while assessing and addressing upcoming Epic updates that impact Epic classroom training and ongoing tasks of Rush users.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create Curriculum and Materials for Epic Training Sessions

  • Prepare Technical Trainers for Facilitating and Teaching Epic Training Sessions

  • Maintain Epic Training Environments

  • Create and Maintain Online Epic Training Resources

  • Manage the Rush Learning Management System

  • Provide Epic Support for Rush Staff

  • Coordinate Epic Training Sessions

  • Facilitate and Teach Epic Training Sessions

  • Triage Incoming ServiceNow Tickets

  • Comply with Rush and Information Services Policies and Procedures

  • Complete Other Duties as Assigned

Position Qualifications Include :

  • Epic Certification(s) required

  • Experience creating Epic training curriculum and materials required

  • Experience maintaining Epic environments required

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Proficiency with technology and commonly used programs required

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required

  • Experience with Adobe Captivate preferred

  • Experience with ServiceNow preferred

  • Familiarity with adult learning theories preferred
