We are looking for a professional who will be responsible for the integrity of the financial and management accounting process used for reporting and business analysis, managing professionals and managers to ensure that accurate accounting and reporting procedures are in place.

The role applies professional knowledge to ensure the financial statement close and settlement process is conducted promptly and aligned to financial accounting policies and procedures. The role manages professionals, managers and operational support employees, developing and maintaining productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

  • You will be responsible for various analytical assessments of more complex transactional activities culminating in determining appropriate accounting entries.

  • You will ensure all financial components of leases are accurately accounted for in the general ledger. Manage the preparation and process of all necessary lease accounting entries and ensure all lease schedules are accurate.

  • You will support requirements and assessments for lease accounting standards, and finance modernization global initiatives.

  • Discovering and documenting internal processes and procedures, controls, data flow, and reporting requirements; assisting team members in doing the same for their respective areas.

  • Managing multiple tasks and projects as assigned by senior management.

How you'll succeed

  • Accounting and Controls – You drive accurate, complete, and timely inputs to the various reporting groups. Provide accounts attestation and ensure all balance sheet accounts are substantiated. Inspire adherence to timing in Service Level Agreements and support the investigation and analysis of different methodologies by liaising with the Front Office, the CFO group, Accounting Policy, Reporting & Reconciliations, and Operations.

  • Relationship management – You have strong teamwork, partnership, and relationship-building skills to act collaboratively with various business partners and stakeholders across the bank.

  • Communication - You have experience and are comfortable working with high-level executives in an advisory and reporting capacity and/or you have been in a client-facing role.

  • Consulting – You provide oversight and advisory over new and ongoing financial reporting processes through understanding the end-to-end and continuously enhancing, automating and standardizing processes.
