What you will do

The Senior Technology Project Manager role reports to the Managing Director, US TI&I PMO. The primary goal of this position is to effectively manage the delivery of key technology and operations projects within the US TI&I portfolio.

  • Project Execution – Drive successful project execution, ensuring adherence to established processes and deliverables, timely delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Project Planning – Develop detailed project plans, define scope, objectives, tasks, and deliverables for each phase of the project. Work with business partners to identify success measures and develop potential solutions to address emerging needs.

  • Risk Management – Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Implement effective risk management practices to minimize potential issues and ensure project success. Maintain up-to-date risks, actions, issues, and decisions logs. Facilitate the escalation and resolution of risks and issues.

  • Schedule Management – Create and manage project schedules, setting realistic timelines and milestones. Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and take proactive measures to keep projects on track.

  • Resource Management – Identify and manage allocation of project resources, including personnel and project budget, to ensure efficient project execution.

  • Communication – Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and senior leadership. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks. Create status reports, meeting minutes, and presentations.

  • Change Management – Manage project changes and assess their impact on timeline, resources, and budget. Follow change control methodology to minimize disruptions and maintain project schedule.

  • Documentation – Maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, change requests and other required project artifacts.

  • Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of current project management practices. Conduct Lessons Learned exercises to overtly seek to identify opportunities to improve execution of subsequent projects.

Who you are

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a banking or financial institution, successfully delivering projects using waterfall and/or agile methodologies.

  • Possess a technical degree or a demonstrated technical aptitude, with a history of operating effectively in a technology organization. Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and oral. Ability to communicate complicated matters in a simple, structured way to leadership.

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders through information that is articulated clearly and backed by data.

  • Detail oriented and highly organized.

  • Adapts well to a fast-paced and changing environment, and able to prioritize work responsibilities and workload as priorities shift.

  • Strong analytical skills; ability to apply logical solutions to business problems.

  • Ability to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.

  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of bank operations, systems, products, processes and controls.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Planview project management software experience is a plus.

  • Professional certification preferred (e.g. PMP or Prince2).

  • College degree required.
