As a Senior Project Technical Leader, you will provide leadership in the execution and delivery of technically complex conveyance projects. You provide opportunities for thought leadership through collaboration with research and innovation teams in the development and deployment of innovative technologies.
Your Key Responsibilities
As the Technical Lead of the project team, you will lead civil conveyance design for water, storm, and sanitary sewer projects from preliminary design to detailed design, bidding, and construction inspection.
You plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery and technical quality within budget.
You review your team’s work and provide technical guidance on design approach and challenges, engineering calculations, design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
You are a mentor to developing professionals to guide their career development objectives.
You prepare technical evidenced proposals and reports as project issues arise with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors or reviewing agencies.
You assist the Business Center Practice Leader with developing technical approaches for Statements of Qualifications and Proposals and assist with preparing the technical aspects for project interviews conducted by clients.
You work in a manner to protect the health and safety of Stantec employees, clients, and the public by following company health, safety, and security guidelines and policies.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Experience and expertise with the design of conveyance projects in urbanized, congested areas.
Experience with the design and delivery of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure 24-inches in diameter and larger.
Strong leadership and communication skills, market knowledge, business acumen combined with innovative ideas, and a successful history of client relations and account management.
Education and Experience
Master of Science in Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in these fields will also be considered.
Licensed Professional Engineer, or a combination of education and experience to qualify for licensure within one year of hire.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in water infrastructure design projects.
Must have good driving record and valid driver's license.
Typical office environment working with computers and sitting at a desk. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
