UL, LLC Senior Project Manager-Commerical Excellence in Chicago, Illinois
This role is hybrid on-site (3) days a week at our Northbrook/Chicago, IL location
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Operations Director, you will manage a portfolio of projects that span across the commercial organization. You will provide oversight and reporting of the portfolio of projects as well as lead a handful of key projects. This is a high visible role into the Executive suite that requires strong communication skills and the ability to extract key messages and identify areas of focus.
Responsible for managing the implementation of large and complex projects.
Provides overall leadership and support to project team members.
Acts as front-line contact on project related activities, issues, and risks.
Manages the project risks and issues and escalates accordingly.
Interfaces with Business Unit Leaders and Finance to develop ROI, IRR and other financial measures.
Manages stakeholders' communication.
Plans the overall project and monitors the progress; performs daily project management throughout the program life cycle.
Adheres to program and project governance (controls).
May have input into defining the project governance (controls).
Manages the projects budget and financial performance.
Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies.
Manages and utilizes resources.
Aligns the deliverables (outputs) to the project’s outcome with the aid of the business change manager.
Read and follow the UL Solutions Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
Performs other duties as directed.
Bachelors' degree with a minimum of six years related experience.
Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience overseeing Project Managers
Ability to identify and manage risks
Excellent presentation skills, specifically to c-suite
Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
Project Accounting experience.
Familiarity with the service business and customer centricity mindset would be fundamental in this role.
