What you'll be doing

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, maintenance and quality assurance of CIBC IT Infrastructure and Networks.

You’ll be joining the Network Engineering team within CIBC’s US Infrastructure Planning & Engineering. You will be a subject matter expert on network designs, network security infrastructure, and provide advisory to project teams. You will foster ideation and impact our digital and agile transformation by enhancing our clients’ banking experience.

How You’ll Succeed

Leadership Skills : Act as the network team lead and provide advisory and expertise to ensure the project is on track to meet objectives. Support other team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.

Strong Communication Skills : You are a strong written/verbal communicator who is willing to speak up to ensure clear communication channels with team members and other teams. You are able to clearly communicate with different team members and teams while also being able to communicate to executive leadership when required.

Technological Expertise: You are able to demonstrate a strong technical experience in Networks and Security. Utilizing your skillset in a technical leadership capacity to drive progress and provide resolution to any issues that may arise.

Who You Are

You can demonstrate 10+ years of experience in the following.

  • Extensive IT experience in a large enterprise environments and practical working knowledge of network architectural decisions, applications and designs, network security, Firewalls and VPN, and Cisco routers and switches.

  • Network architectural and design experience in an Enterprise Corporation, Financial organization, Banking Industry or Healthcare is desirable

  • Network security consulting that will support network security infrastructure and services across the US region

  • Network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices, Palo Alto, checkpoint Fortinet Firewalls, including user-id based policy management and URL filtering and Next-Gen features.

  • At least 5 years in SD-WAN, IPAM, DNS, NTP, WAN Acceleration, Load Balance - F5Cloud Network Solutions (Azure Express Route, AWS Direct Connect).

  • Extensive design and implementation experience with LAN, WAN, IPSEC VPN.

  • IP routing protocols including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP. It is an advantage if you have experience with network automation, proven troubleshooting experience.

  • Assess, and remediate cybersecurity issues as mandated by regulatory examinations and planned mitigation activities

You have a degree in Computer Science, Programming, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience and at least one Cisco Network certification. Certifications: CCNP and CCDP, CCIE preferred.
