Sr. Art Director

(Experiential, B2B, Integrated)

Mosaic Sr. Art Directors are emerging creative leaders ready to craft our next big moment or campaign.

At Mosaic, we’re on a mission to create human-centric experiences that drive consumer behavior. From events and activations, to stunts and sampling, to campaigns and content, we’re all about building brand moments that matter - intersecting culture and fostering community all along the way.

To put it simply, we actualize action. And every action starts with an idea.

That is where you come in. Our next Sr. Art Director. A complete craftsperson who can make any moment, any space, any layout, or any frame a thing of beauty. A big thinker who has a hunger for the next big idea that goes far beyond visuals alone. A curious soul who seeks inspiration and leads with imagination – approaching challenges with brave ambition.

In this role, we are seeking an established Sr. Art Director who is looking to make the next big step in their career. Who understands the world of art direction and design, but is ready to take it to the next level. Who wants to transcend traditional marketing, and move toward moments - ready to master the mediums of space and time.

The Details:

Location:

Our US Creative team is primarily Chicago-based, but we encourage candidates within NYC, Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, and Seattle markets to apply. Think you’re the right fit but reside elsewhere? Let’s talk – we will consider remote rockstars, too.

Start Date : ASAP

Travel:

Presentations, working sessions, team gatherings, and presence at on-site activations are expected, up to 10%.

Commitment:

The successful candidate will work and track 40 hrs/week. However, our dynamic creative environment is not your traditional 9-5. We regularly operate across time zones, deadlines, event and production schedules, etc., made possible thanks to the shared trust, commitment, and accountability of team members. We do require flexibility from our employees to accommodate project needs. But we’re committed to giving it in return, too, as we deeply respect the need to maintain balance, well-being, and individual and family obligations… and personal passions and pursuits, too ( interests keep us interested – and interesting, after all).

Application Requirements:

  • A detailed resume highlighting education and experience

  • A link to a portfolio of recent work (if password protected, please provide)

  • Two references (colleagues, vendors, clients welcomed)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Idea generation – participating and leading teams in brainstorming and capturing big ideas that address the needs of the brief

  • Art Direction – visual approach, mood boards, layout, photography, mockups, renders

  • Partner with designers, copywriters, and producers to actualize a vision

  • Desire to understand the nuances of event production; both from an art direction perspective and in general

  • Passion for strategy, insights, and innovation

  • Equally as comfortable working independently and with a team

  • Basic business acumen, working with PMs to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brief, and on budget

  • Contributes to a culture of sharing, learning, respect and collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-7 years progressive creative experience

  • Educational or professional background in Design, Art Direction, or comparable visually-forward brand or marketing experience

  • Comfortable writing in a variety of mediums, including campaigns, digital/social, content, events, and more.

  • Able to take direction from senior creatives, actioning feedback, while also offering a powerful point of view and helping to guide junior creatives and designers

  • Ability to develop the big idea/conceptual thinking, and then support in functional art direction and visual storytelling.

  • Proficient in Adobe creative suite – can seamlessly develop concept visuals independently that are on brand, polished, and presentation ready

  • Effective communicator that can share clear vision, and share it with creative collaborators, designers, and partners through briefings, presentations, and more

  • Possesses a passion for innovation, trends, and knowledge sharing

  • Can support in the crafting of presentations and pitch decks

  • Has an appetite to learn new skills including presentations, innovative tools, and more

  • Willingness to step outside art direction to support in overall creative vision, production, internal projects and beyond

  • Are both connected & collaborative – a culture vulture with deep tentacles and interests in culture, tech, music, fashion, art, etc, and passion for sharing
