We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible Sourcing Manager develops, leads, monitors and promotes responsible sourcing practices. This includes implementing end to end processes to promote responsible sourcing practices, build metrics to Inform and support responsible supplier selection and procurement decisions, and support change management efforts to implement standard processes. This position reports into the Senior Manager of Business Diversity Integration
Strategy Development: Partner with leadership to develop and implement a responsible sourcing strategy aligned with United's values and business objectives
Find opportunities and set goals to improve supplier compliance with ethical sourcing standards
Supplier Engagement: Assess and monitor suppliers' practices related to labor rights, environmental impact, and ethical sourcing
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to influence positive change and drive continuous improvement
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies
Prepare regular reports and presentations on responsible sourcing initiatives and performance metrics for internal and external partners
Training and Awareness: Develop training programs and educational materials on responsible sourcing practices for internal teams and suppliers
Raise awareness and promote a culture of ethical sourcing throughout the organization
Collaboration and Advocacy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, legal, and sustainability to integrate responsible sourcing into procurement processes
Represent the company in industry forums and initiatives related to responsible sourcing and sustainability
Travel for this role is up to 20%

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree or related experience
4+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, ethical sourcing and contract management
Experience in procurement, supply chain including ethical sourcing
Experience briefing and working with executive leaders
Ability to collaborate and influence
Maturity to inspire change in a complex environment
Strong communication skills, and the ability to be a persuasive advocate
Process improvement skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in Responsible Sourcing Programs including Human Rights, Labor Laws, scope 3 reporting and supplier Diversity
2-3 years of partner and project management
Experience in program development and execution
