R1 RCM PAS Support Specialist in Chicago, Illinois

As our PAS Support Specialist, you will help our team by researching the root causes of denied claims, gathering all the pertinent documentation and information, and entering data into our internal computer system. Every day, you will work within our Physician Advisory Services (PAS) system for data entry, do research via payer portals and phone calls, and have familiarity with patient clinical documents and hospital billing documentation. To thrive in this role, you must have a strong attention to detail, maintain accuracy with data entry, have a revenue cycle background, and be able to perform a detailed review of patient medical records and payer denial information.
Here’s what you will experience working as a PAS Support Specialist :
Be responsible for thoroughly reviewing patient clinical documents, hospital billing documentation, and payer denial information to prepare appropriate responses to defend medical necessity and no authorization appeal services.
Assist in the triage, production, and follow-up needed on accounts.
Involves a high amount of interaction with clients and internal business partners.
Adhere to established workflow based on client and payer protocols and timely follow-up with clients.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.88 - $24.79 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
