The Coca-Cola Company National Customer Marketing Director in Chicago, Illinois

The Customer Marketing Director is responsible for leading the development, sell-in, execution, commercialization and analysis of strategic marketing initiatives, aligned with The Coca-Cola Company and a key customers marketing strategy, to stimulate beverage consumption and reinforce brand equity of Coca-Cola brands.

This role has a broad range of responsibilities that will assist in delivering specified business targets (volume, profit, share) through the development and execution of all brand strategies with a key customer across Price, Promotion, Packaging & Product. Th e success candidate should have the passion and experience in consumer package good s , demonstrating the ability to thrive leading a team in order to champion a brand and can motivate both internal and external partners .

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Unleash the full potential and power of Coca-Cola brands, assets and critical marketing initiatives to drive beverage incidence and ROI

  • Lead the business planning of consumer marketing strategies, co-create programs, promotions and product launches and actively implement and steward programs that maximize profitable, recurring growth and that increase the long-term ‘partnership’ value of TCCC brands within the key customer

  • Lead development, sell-in, and execution of strategic marketing initiatives, aligned with our marketing strategy, inclusive of leadership of beverage integration, execution to maximize customer and system value

  • Serve as marketing generalist, stewarding consumer insights, industry trends, innovation, digital and social, consumer initiatives and media leadership with organization

  • Lead value-based relationships between Coca-Cola and the key customer's National Marketing organization and national agencies via resource identification / alignment, customer management and communication routines

  • Develop and execute retail "go-to-market" strategies using market knowledge (e.g., industry, competitive set, Company needs) in order to maximize short and long-term growth.

  • Develops and communicates written briefs for use by agencies or suppliers

    Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field is required ( Master’s degree is highly preferred )

  • 7+ years of related CP G experience

  • Food Service customer experience required

  • Demonstrate the ability to translating marketing objectives into strategies and plans. Proven success in leading a team to develop a comprehensive marketing plan that is integrated across multiple consumer touch points, including at point-of-purchase.

  • Knowledge of information used to define brand strategic corridors and develop appropriate business solutions and the ability to lead the development, communication and stewardship of global brand positioning, architectures and policies/guidelines are needed

  • Knowledge of and the ability to use basic financial analysis (e.g., Return on Investment, Value Chain Analysis) related to marketing effectiveness, resource allocations and new business opportunities is needed

  • Successfully launched several new products from concept stage through commercialization and in-market success. Has successfully managed a product portfolio.

  • Persuasive communication skills and ability to develop materials for corporate strategy and business review meetings.

  • Proven ability to manage and develop a marketing team.
