Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in the non-profit sector, based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical billing processes, supporting our team with your industry expertise and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of medical billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the Revenue Billing Process

• Leverage industry-specific knowledge for efficient problem-solving

• Utilize ICD 10 Experience to enhance billing procedures

• Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking necessary action when required

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date

• Process customer credit applications, adhering to organizational procedures and standards

• Use your skills in Medical Billing and IDCAMS to enhance and streamline processes

• Assist in other tasks and projects as directed, contributing to the overall success of the team. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of three years of experience in the medical billing field.

• Proficiency in IDCAMS is a requirement.

• A proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail in billing processes.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance practices, and billing procedures.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Proficient in the use of computer applications related to billing.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of organization and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Familiarity with non-profit work environment is a plus.

• Must adhere to confidentiality and data protection protocols.

• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
