Byline Bank Marketing Manager - Commercial in Chicago, Illinois

Position Description

Objective of Position :

The Marketing Manager - Commercial is responsible for helping to build and operationalize go-to-market omni-channel marketing plans to drive customer and revenue growth for the Commercial businesses. This role partners closely with the overall marketing team, external consultants, and internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to execute and report on marketing tactics aligned to the strategic goals of the enterprise and commercial business lines, including lead generation, acquisition, lifecycle, content, etc. Current areas of business responsibility include Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Sponsor Finance (SFG), Equipment Leasing (BFG), and Treasury Management.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Collaborates with business leader stakeholders to understand their goals and strategies. Develops marketing strategies and integrated marketing plans in support of delivering objectives.

  • Develops, manages, and coordinates marketing initiatives from start to finish, inclusive of project management, compliance approvals, and execution, and campaign reporting with a results-driven approach to attain growth goals.

  • Works with marketing lifecycle partners to understand and enhance the functionality of CRM to develop and execute lifecycle marketing initiatives, track leads, and enhance campaign reporting to drive cross-sell.

  • Partners internally and with external vendors/agencies to develop creative and collateral to support campaigns by providing thoughtful creative briefs, identified channels, and clear KPIs.

  • Analyzes and presents KPI results of promotions/campaigns to internal stakeholders with recommended optimizations on assigned basis.

  • Understands and assists with competitive intelligence tracking and reporting.

  • Develops and supports marketing planning activities including strategic and annual plans.

  • Plans and executes customer events as needed.

  • Delivers strong tactical execution in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

  • Brings a creative, entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to be agile when evaluating opportunities.

  • Demonstrates a positive, proactive, professional, and collaborative attitude to build relationships across teams and departments.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with preference for Business, Marketing, Finance, or related degree.

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in Marketing and/or Marketing Manager roles.

  • Digital marketing experience including paid media, social, search, etc.

  • Previous experience in financial services industry, a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft product suite:

  1. Excel—including building and manipulating pivot tables and additional Excel and Reporting duties, as required.

  2. PowerPoint (including master slides, templates, etc.) to quickly produce sophisticated, clear, and effective presentations to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Interest in learning additional systems and software platforms including project management, bank core system software for report export and analysis, and accounting/CRM software, as needed.

  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to think strategically with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and work through details to ensure successful execution and follow-through.

  • Understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L) and experience with managing budgets.

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel, including senior management to ensure strategic alignment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ddemonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Ability to plan and manage in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

  • Experience with data-based marketing (including CRM and AI), and familiarity with Salesforce, FSC and nCino preferred.

  • Experience with Workfront project management software.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Hybrid work environment balancing main office, field/other offices, and work from home days.

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The salary range for this position is $84,100 to $115,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Byline Bank offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
