Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The candidate will ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance on mechanical presses, press line related equipment, conveyor systems, overhead cranes, and various production machines. Responsibilities include following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. The candidate will perform preventative tasks associated with equipment, locate problems using measuring and testing instruments, and remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. They will also be responsible for fabricating repair parts and maintaining maintenance requests.
Responsibilities
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance on mechanical presses, press line related equipment, conveyor systems, overhead cranes, and various production machines.
Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot malfunctions.
Perform preventative tasks associated with equipment.
Locate problems using measuring and testing instruments.
Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
Fabricate repair parts.
Maintain maintenance requests.
Essential Skills
Electrical and mechanical experience
Industrial machinery experience
Blueprint reading
PLC knowledge
Slitter machine operation
Preventive maintenance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2 years of mechanical maintenance in an industrial setting
High School Diploma (HSD)
Preventive Maintenance (PM) system experience
Metal industry experience (nice to have)
Journeyman experience or mechanical apprentice training (nice to have)
5 plus years of experience (nice to have)
HVAC experience (nice to have)

Work Environment
Heavy industrial environment with dirty metals and hot conditions in summer. Work on various equipment systems. Some overtime required, including some Saturdays. Maintenance team comprises 15 people (5 per shift). Dress code: jeans and long sleeves.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00
