Job Description Summary

The Internal Communications team is focused on engaging our GE HealthCare teammates and people leaders globally, creating a flawless internal colleague experience while advancing the strategy, purpose and culture of the company. We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented communicator to help build and drive our Functional Communications Center of Excellence.

In this role, you will lead strategic communications planning and delivery for key internal functions such as finance and HR, provide executive leadership support, develop messaging and content, and recommend the most effective tactics and channels to engage colleagues and drive our purpose, business strategy and culture. The scope of support includes building an enterprise-wide communication strategy as required for changes that affect all colleagues.

The experience and skills necessary for success include strategic planning, innovative thinking, project management, a focus on details and process, strong writing and editing, and experience with internal communication tools, channels and metrics.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Help develop and execute the Functional Communications Center of Excellence strategy to ensure teammates who work in GE HealthCare functions are informed of necessary information and engaged in our purpose, priorities and strategic approach.

  • Develop a relationship with executive clients to build a strategic communication plan aligned with their business priorities and serve as the primary point of contact to ensure all communications work supports the overall communications strategy.

  • Drive functional engagement on internal communications platforms, including GE HealthCare’s internal intranet and news site.

  • Communicate functional-related changes that affect all GE HealthCare colleagues and elevate all an understanding across the enterprise of how our functions support and help drive GE HealthCare’s purpose, priorities and strategic approach.

  • Deploy strong writing, editing and storytelling skills across a variety of deliverables, including key messages, narratives, internal news articles, video scripts and more.

  • Understand internal communications tools and technology and related performance metrics to measure reach and effectiveness of communications.

  • Collaborate with fellow internal communications teammates in support of large-scale, high-visibility projects.

  • Align work with the overarching internal communications strategy to ensure a consistent and engaging employee experience and collaborate across the broader Corporate Marketing and Communications team to ensure alignment with company messaging and communications tools and materials.

  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines as necessary while working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Drive first-time quality and innovation in all areas of communications work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing or related field.

  • 5 years communications experience covering internal communications.

  • An understanding of, and/or internal communication experience related to, the financial and/or HR disciplines.

  • Experience with communications related to internal culture campaigns and/or change management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing annual communications plans and engagement calendars for sizeable teams and projects

  • Strong executive presence

  • Able to manage multifaceted projects and deliverables with an eye for detail, quality and deadlines

  • Possess strong foundational skills, including written communication, storytelling, grammar, presentation and strategic planning

  • Experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions

  • Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand and compelling manner, both written and verbally

  • Must be able to work well on multiple tasks within the same timeframe, sometimes with conflicting deadlines and under pressure
