As part of the Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Effectiveness Product team, the Head of International Product & Portfolio Transformation role is responsible for leading the international Product Management and Product Marketing functions to maximize growth opportunities for a suite of products with $200M+ in revenue. International responsibilities include ownership of product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market execution to ensure that the right products and solutions are being prioritized, developed and delivered to meet the needs of the international customers. Additionally, Portfolio Transformation responsibilities involve leading the strategic thinking and operational execution to transition core products (either domestic or international) into modern offerings that enable net new business models and/or industry segment expansion opportunities.

International Responsibilities:
Define Wolters Kluwer Health CE International growth strategy:
Understand the key macro and micro industry, regulatory and compliance trends and business opportunities impacting targeted EMEA & APAC markets
Prioritize industry segments, countries and product/solution opportunities.
Create a well-defined product strategy and clear KPIs to help the company quantify and understand progress against goals
Based on the growth strategy, lead the prioritization of product investment opportunities by product and/or market segment:
Uncover buyer pain points and collaborate with Commercial Leaders and Product teams to define new features and GTM for existing products and/or develop new solutions and service offerings.
Provide customer insight, by blending data with a deep understanding of user needs, habits, and perceptions developed through targeted interviews, usability studies, and customer feedback
Implement a framework for prioritizing growth-specific product improvements via the product roadmaps
Coordinate and execute growth plans
Launch products or product extensions to optimize the revenue funnel (lead generation, churn mitigation, cross-sell enhancement…)
Collaborate with business development teams to prioritize strategic partnerships
Provide thought leadership to the customers in these markets on the Clinical Effectiveness vision and mission
Business and Operational responsibilities:
Manage International Product Prioritization
Conduct regular international prioritization meetings to assess commercial and CX leadership requests against strategic initiatives and set prioritization
Communicate (or facilitate) the sharing of US strategy/roadmap to inform international opportunities.
Clearly define decision criteria for product processes
Active member/participant of the International Leadership Team (ILT)
Cross functional responsibilities
Collaborate extensively with Product Marketing leadership to operate a collaborative model for the holistic/cohesive delivery of running the international product lifecycle.
Build and maintain relationships with sales leaders to understand buyer demand and to inform go-to-market plans.
Build and maintain relationships with CX, Implementation and Marketing leaders to execute product growth and go-to-market plans
Other Duties
Other areas of focus for the Head of International Product Clinical Effectiveness:
Monitor and understand the competitive environment for CE products in target markets
Monitor and understand the regulatory issues that impact buying and risk mitigation behavior among current and potential customers
Monitor and understand the product roadmaps of the key enterprise market EMR vendors in these markets, as they relate to Clinical Decision Support, Drug Information and Patient Engagement
Understand emerging standards for sharing of clinical data (I.e. FHIR, CCDA, BPA etc.) and recommend CE solutions to align with these standards.
Leverage or create an adequate data infrastructure to make executive decisions
Job Qualifications
Education
- MBA highly preferred. BS or BA degree is required preferably in Software Engineering, Data sciences or Healthcare.
Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of leading Product Management or Product Marketing teams in a B2B SaaS environment with global responsibility
Proven track record of bringing new products and solutions to market
Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend, and position products to optimize revenue potential
Experience with business case development
Excellent research analysis and decision-making skills
Excellent ability to develop recommendations, form judgments and make decisions based on existing available data.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Experience in the healthcare technology industry preferred
Experience in Agile Product Development & Pragmatic Marketing
Experience in Design ThinkingStrong intellect and analytical skills, with ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independently.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to operate effectively in matrixed and global organization
Travel requirements
Up to 50-60% Travel
