WTW CRB NA Proposal Team Senior Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Description

The WTW Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) North America (NA) Proposal Team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to take on the role of Risk and Insurance RFP Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing the full cycle process of all risk and insurance RFPs and leading the development of strategic and persuasive RFP written and oral presentation proposals. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic work environment, excels in client engagement, and has strong project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of strategic and competitive RFPs and pitches by aligning responses to client/prospect needs and industry demands.

  • Writes and edits executive summaries and other copy for pitches and proposals as determined by the opportunity leader.

  • Creates new material based on WTW business initiatives, value proposition and client/prospect requests.

  • Provides guidance to opportunity owner and client team at outset of each RFP and pitch, identifying best approach to first draft templates content and offering strategic insight throughout ongoing content development.

  • With the opportunity owner, reviews final draft of RFPs/pitches, executive summaries, team biographies, etc. before submission to the client/prospect ensuring WTW guidelines and standards are met/exceeded.

  • Manages the proposal development process and timelines, including kick-off meetings, content planning, role assignments, proposal outlines, peer reviews and rehearsal preps.

  • Performs necessary company and industry research in connection with client/prospect participating in the RFP/pitch to help with content strategy and customization.

  • Ensure accurate and timely responses to requests from other corporate services (e.g., Compliance, Technology, Supplier Diversity)

  • Ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging across all proposal materials, collaborating closely with graphic designers for impactful visuals.

  • Utilize proposal team technology databases to streamline the proposal process, leveraging templates and content for efficiency and consistency.

  • Maintain editorial control to ensure proposals are professional, persuasive, and reflect the company’s value proposition.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; valid insurance broker license preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in professional services industry (risk & insurance or human capital preferred), client management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing the full lifecycle of RFP proposals, including strategic alignment, content development, and delivery.

  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), proficiency in numerical analysis, and organizational capabilities.

  • Familiarity with highly technical product and industry content and the ability to analyze and recommend strategies to deliver more impactful and succinct responses.

  • Demonstrates strong attention to details.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.

  • Demonstrates ability with leading and supervising others.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities, organizing and prioritizing work and delegating effectively.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with ability to learn new software (InDesign, Loopio, PowerBI).

  • Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or equivalent are advantageous.

  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality, use discretion and exercise independence and sound judgement.

  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
