Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Cloud Application Business Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our research client in Chicago, IL!

Responsibilities:

  • Work with IT teams, business teams, research teams, and 3rd party stakeholders to identify and document requirements, and think critically about what will make the cloud application initiatives successful.

  • Document functional requirements and specifications to ensure clear communication and understanding among stakeholders.

  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Utilize Gerkin writing to articulate user stories and acceptance criteria effectively.

  • Create deliverables such as process flows and use case diagrams to effectively communicate design strategies.

  • Support testing and quality assurance efforts by understanding and testing stories based on acceptance criteria written.

  • Work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance and support from senior team members when necessary.

  • Attend and lead stakeholder meetings, taking and disseminating detailed notes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, statistics, computer science, mathematics, information management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Analysis with at least 3 years relevant experience in Cloud Application Development environments.

  • Demonstrated experience defining and documenting business requirements for complex cloud application projects (pref., software product development projects in AWS).

  • Knowledge of best practices in cloud application security and compliance for applications hosting personally identifiable information is a plus.

  • Experience leading &/or participating in Agile meetings including: sprint planning, sprint grooming, review, demo, stand-up, and retrospective sessions.

  • Proficiency writing articulate user stories and acceptance criteria effectively.

  • Experience in all phases of product, software, and testing lifecycles.

  • Strong investigative, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills.

  • Candidates must be local to the Chicago area, and able to work hybrid onsite 2 days per week in the downtown Chicago headquarters.

  • Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer.
