ABOUT IMAN:\ The Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) is a community organization that fosters health,\ wellness and healing in the inner-city by organizing for social change, cultivating the arts, and\ operating a holistic health center.\ IMAN incorporated as a nonprofit in 1997 through the drive of people directly affected by and\ deeply invested in social issues affecting communities of color living on Chicagos South Side.\ Since that time, IMAN has steadily grown and, in 2016, opened a second office in Atlanta to\ continue mobilizing a cross-section of people committed to this mission.
The organization models an integrative approach that employs holistic interventions to address a\ spectrum of structural and systemic injustices, incorporating primary and behavioral health;\ artistic expression; leadership development; organizing and advocacy; housing; and job training,\ in an effort to substantially increase the quality of life for people in marginalized communities.
OVERVIEW:\ As an integral part of IMANs leadership team, the Chief Health Center Director (CHCD) will\ operate as an overseer in planning and operationalizing organizational goals in the Health Center\ and IMAN. The CHCD is responsible for the oversight, administration, planning and\ development of high-quality FQHC services, along with HC leadership, provided by the IMAN\ Health Center and for defining the best structure for that oversight. The CHCD will have an\ internal and external focus for the health center, being the guiding position for IMAN and\ Healthcare priorities. The CHCD provides direction for day-to-day operations of the health\ center and its staff and provides administrative supervision for the Medical Director, Behavioral\ Health Director, Director of Revenue Cycle, and collaborates with the Director of Operations.\ The CHCD will be a member of IMANs chief crew and steering committee.
The CHCD serves as the visionary leader of IMANs Health center overseeing all aspects of the\ organizations operations, strategy, and growth. The CHCD is responsible for setting the strategic\ direction, ensuring financial sustainability, fostering a culture of excellence, and representing the\ organization within the community and maintaining a deep knowledge of FQHC guidelines and\ healthcare industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
Build respectful and trusting relationships with the Board and with clinical, behavioral
health operational, and frontline staff. Oversee health center in a way that realizes the\ mission of the organization, and ensures excellence, while encouraging innovation.
? Collaborate as a team member in developing IMANs overall business strategy;\ participate in clinical practice program development and in the implementation of\ strategies for all Health Center practices.
? Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with IMANs mission and goals.
? Provide visionary leadership to drive innovation and growth in healthcare services.
Provides direction and leadership in the development and communication of IMAN
health center policies and goals; recommends changes in administrative policy to carry\ out IMAN objectives more effectively/efficiently.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements as necessary.
Optimize resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Solicit cooperation of department heads in studies to maximize the use of staffing,
supplies and equipment while maintaining or improving the quality of patient care;
Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage the health centers budget, ensuring financial sustainability.
Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
Establish long-term financial sustainability by building on existing revenue models and
strategically assessing and developing new models and revenue streams.
Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements with
applicable key organizational leaders.
Assist, as required, in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the
organizatio
