The Business Systems Analyst will work with our Enterprise Applications & Analytics team. In this position you will be responsible for partnering with business units to provide business and data analysis expertise. The role will also be responsible for leading business requirements gathering, analysis, and supporting the technical team during the system development lifecycle. Business Systems Analyst will work closely with all bank employees in various departments such as Training, Retail Banking, Commercial Lending, Risk Management, Marketing, Operations and IT on shared projects and initiatives.

Business and Data Analysis Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal Business units to uncover business opportunities and improve operational process efficiency

  • Understand business needs to deliver effective solutions

  • Conduct interviews with the end users and gather business requirements

  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications for the development team

  • Assist in preparing and conducting formal presentations on the solution, objectives, and scope

Development and Implementation Responsibilities

  • Ensure the developed systems, applications and reports fulfill the specified business requirements

  • Extract, compile, process, and summarize large volumes of data into useable information.

  • Engage end-users during the development process and provide periodic updates about the project progress

  • Work with the technical team in creating user manuals, reference tools and technical documents

  • Actively participate in user training (both internal and external users)

Testing & Quality Assurance Responsibilities

  • Develop and document thorough test plans with comprehensive sets of test cases and expected results

  • Develop test plans & cases in compliance with legal & customer requirements, policies, procedures

  • Ensure that solutions are developed to meet business needs and requirements

  • Actively engage end-users during UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and get sign-offs from users

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or related field

  • 5+ years of business analysis experience

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience

  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to build professional relationships with all levels

  • Candidate must be able to learn new software packages/technologies

  • Excellent organizational skills, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in working in Salesforce and nCino, preferred

  • Good knowledge of design principles, practices, systems development & analysis

  • Must be self-motivated, team oriented and able to operate with minimal supervision

  • Hands on experience in developing MS-VISIO models & preparing project plans using MS-Projects

  • Experience in working in financial services industry is a plus

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

This role allows for a combination of remote and in-office work, with occasional visits to the office based on business needs. Specific in-office days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation & Benefits:

Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is between $84,100 - $120,000.

In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off and much more! Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
