Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst focused on Data as a Service (DaaS) offerings to join our team. Our data and analytics suite today empowers healthcare clients to identify market opportunities, engage potential patient populations, and enhance patient outcomes. We continue to be optimistic about expanding and enriching our data assets and models to advance differentiated services and offerings for our clients.

A Business Analyst is responsible for understanding the use cases and business/ technical requirements of a solution to drive documented requirement gathering, vetting, backlog prioritization, and execution through our development and engineering teams.  

Qualifications

Major Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with stakeholders (SMEs, PM, PO, and Engineering and Development teams) to understand and document new uses cases /needs and requirements functionally and technically. 

  • Build and maintainprocessesfor sharing sensitive data in a complex regulatory environment

  • Deliver ad-hoc requests and reports as needed to stakeholders across the business

  • Writes detailed user stories that translate business and technical requirements into executable work with clear acceptance criteria. 

  • Independently owns and escalates prioritization decisions of the user story backlog, makes recommendations or decisions as needed for conflict priorities, and escalates execution or delivery risks.  

  • Manage projects, including defining scope, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs and projects or initiatives are delivered on time and in scope.

  • Support the buildup and ongoing maintenance of a Data Catalogue representing a collection of data assets and enrichments

  • Support and buildup appropriate certifications and programs in support of appropriate data usage agreements.

  • Works closely with data engineers, engineering teams, and data science engineers to ensure they understand scope and purpose of user stories and features as well as non-functional needs.  

  • Mostly Remote role (flexible living locations)

  • Travel expected (10-20%)

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in data management, data governance,integration, and analysis

  • Clinical understanding of healthcare delivery (coding systems, healthcare operations, strategic planning)

  • Knowledge of Healthcare Standards like HIPAA, ICD, and EDI

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methods

  • Strong organizational and process building skills

  • Ability to manage cross functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions

  • Ability to think critically and solve problems

  • 3+ Years experience in healthcare industry and/or business analyst role

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in related field or comparable work experience

The estimated base salary for this job is $95,000 - $130,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $106,400 - $153,400. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
