Your Role

The Regional Sea Freight Manager will be responsible for growth, profitability and service delivery of the sea/ocean freight product within the region.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure that operation procedures are properly fulfilled

• Aligns resources planning to overall business plans

• Ensure all relevant/applicable KPI’s set are met

• Develops sales concepts and rates for major tenders

• Leads new business implementations in region

• Ensure key account maintenance – relationship management, presentations, meetings

• Nurture and grow working relationships with key overseas partners

• Ensure region compliance with common goals/initiatives

• Coordinate monthly department (regional) meetings to verify goal attainment; department productivity; quality goals and others during monthly management meetings

• Participate in sea freight recruitment and selection processes

• Responsible for staff's overall training/cross training needs

• Work with L&D on employee’s development plan

• Ensure QSHE guidelines and procedures are followed

• Ensure Billing status report accuracy

• Comply with P/L targets on monthly basis

• Visit and Maintain existing Customers to support local/regional sales team

• Support Sales by providing competitive rates for new customers

• Create value propositions to deal with customers’ challenges and opportunities

• Value propositions to client/sales

• Escalation and support role for local Fs's in all areas - local branch, regionally and nationally

Your Skills and Experiences

• Bachelors Degree preferred

• 5 – 10 years industry experience

• Proficiency in planning, staffing, and budgeting

• Proven track record in developing effective relationships and providing leadership

• Effective communications skills - written and verbal

• Ability to establish priorities and multi-task

• Possess professional business demeanor

• Proficient with Microsoft platform

• Travel domestic and international
