AON Administrative Operations Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Aon is looking for an Administrative Operations Manager (AOM). This is a full-time, office-based role located in our Chicago office.

What the day will look like
Lead, develop, and coach a cohesive team of Administrative/Executive Assistants, including facilitating unit meetings, providing one-on-one coaching, fostering a team atmosphere, and handling performance challenges. A fun aspect of the role includes preparing and producing presentations and correspondence and related material, including editing for grammar, punctuation and clarity. Other responsibilities:
Coordinate complex meeting logistics on- or offsite, which may include budgeting, travel arrangements, room reservations, meeting room logistics and materials, and catering
Exercise self-directed prioritization of work and projects, demonstrating measurable progress through open communication with leaders and team members
Handle email, time recording, full calendar management, research, or other special projects
Calibrate talent and compensation among unit
Interact effectively with leaders, clients, colleagues, maintaining professionalism at all times
Key Background
Colleagues with 3-5+ years of relevant experience in administrative support and advanced-level computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and other programs will be most successful in this role. Prior management experience will help new colleagues excel, as will excellent problem-solving skills with the drive to respond to requests promptly and act proactively. A few additional traits to consider:
Attention to details with strong follow-up skills; this often requires a level of decisiveness and good judgment
Self-motivated teammate with the ability to work independently under minimal direction
Demonstration of excellent interpersonal, management and organizational skills, which lead to superior customer service and quality/accuracy focus
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
