Job Title: Hiring forklift operator /1st shift /Can start asap

Job Description

We are seeking diligent Forklift operator for our packaging operations at both of our sites. Your role will involve various packaging tasks, ensuring the efficient handling and quality of our products.

Responsibilities

• Operating forklift

• Loading ,Unloading with forklift

• Putting caps and lids on bottles

• Bottling products into boxes and cases

• Placing bottles, caps, and lids into boxes

• Sorting and separating finished products

• Packing jugs and bottles into boxes

• Lifting and staging boxes

• Palletizing and wrapping boxes and containers

• Placing boxes and products into sealer machinery

• Performing quality inspections by counting, sorting, and sizing

• Placing tags and labels on products and boxes

• Pulling cases off the line and stacking on pallets

• Wrapping and staging cases and boxes

• Working on multiple lines and packaging products

• Helping operators with batch mixing and janitorial work

• Assisting in making batches, weighing out product liquid, and prep work

• Documenting all orders

• Working with drums and totes

• Lifting up to 55 lbs

• Maintaining cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and salting the parking lot when it snows

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform multiple jobs and work in multiple areas

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Manufacturing experience

• Steel toe boots

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing is a plus

• Packaging experience

• Labor experience

• Multi-tasking abilities

Work Environment

Alsip Facility: A modern, clean, and organized facility with a smaller workforce. It is temperature controlled and has been remodeled in the last 10 years. Safety is a key focus. Chicago Heights Facility: While not as new as Alsip, it remains in good condition and is also temperature controlled. It has a larger workforce, more production lines, and can be more chaotic due to the higher volume of work. Both sites ensure the chemicals used are not harmful and offer multiple break rooms and security checkpoints.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $18.45/hr.
