Specific Responsibilities
Collaborate with project leadership, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve code-related issues and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Communicate to and inform field leadership/superintendent/foreman of any and all issues discovered.
Coordinate with field leadership and prefabrication shop to ensure that prefabricated electrical components and assemblies meet project specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate and schedule inspections with AHJ ensuring all required inspections are completed on time and that any deficiencies or non-compliance issues are promptly addressed.
Document and maintain accurate records of all interactions with AHJs, including permit applications, inspection reports, and correspondence, to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
Provide guidance and training to project teams on AHJ requirements, inspection processes, and code compliance, and serve as a resource for resolving code-related questions or concerns.
Stay abreast of changes to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards affecting electrical construction, and communicate relevant updates to project teams to ensure ongoing compliance and adherence to best practices.
Review and interpret local building codes, project blueprints, specifications, submittals, C,D,Es and regulations governing electrical construction activities.
Conduct comprehensive field inspections of electrical installations, equipment, and systems at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes and industry standards. Annotate deviations and exceptions and necessary corrective action using PlanGrid or BIM software.
Review construction drawings, schematics, one-lines and other technical documents to understand project requirements and quality standards.
Identify and document any defects, deficiencies, or non-compliance issues observed during inspections and work closely with project managers and subcontractors to address and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, test results, and corrective actions taken and prepare detailed reports for internal documentation and client review.
Collaborate with various project teams to develop and implement quality assurance procedures, inspection checklists and best practices to improve overall project quality and efficiency.
Perform on-site inspections of electrical installations, including wiring, fixtures and equipment to verify compliance with project specifications, building codes and industry standards.
Review equipment installation to ensure compliance with manufacturer’s guidelines.
Adhere to and provides input on quality management plan including processes and controls implementation and alignment with general contractor and customer expectations.
Conduct and document inspections of construction power installation to include providing engineering team with necessary information to complete short circuit coordination study.
Review submittals of intended products including compliance, deviations, and exceptions for conformance to specification.
Oversee subcontractor scope to ensure adherence to all project requirements.
Champion conflict resolution and change management strategies to empower employees to improve quality.
Other duties as assigned.
Equipment delivery inspections, torque verifications, verification of breaker settings, document control on passed inspections, assisting in underground coordination, adapting inspections to meet technical specifications, scheduling re-inspections, and coordinating with supervision on findings, providing weekly progress reports, support issue resolution, identifying opportunities for improvement. Participating in supplemental activities relevant to quality as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
NFPA 70 and best work practices
NETA, NEMA, NECA, UL, IEEE standards, and local building codes preferred
Electrical system construction methods
Authority having jurisdiction inspection procedure.
Skill in:
Communication skills, both verbal and written across multiple platforms
Bluebeam, Word, Excel, ACxMS (various software) preferred, BIM, PlanGrid
Ability to:
Read, interpret, and troubleshoot AC/DC wiring schematics.
Interpret and apply specifications.
Multi-task and interface with different departments
Work under minimal supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A functional physical is required to be completed and passed before work can be performed in all field positions. The physical requirements can often be completed repetitively and for extended periods of time. These requirements include:

REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated desire for continual education in related areas.
A Journeyman license is required along with certification in OSHA 10hr.
This role may require longer than standard work hours during support of Level 2 and 3 inspections, and verification of issue resolution.
