Job Description
Fiscal & Procurement Assistant, Lynch School of Education and Human Development
The Fiscal & Procurement Assistant serves a key support role for the fiscal and procurement operations of the Lynch School of Education and Human Development (LSEHD) by providing the necessary data for sound business decisions, strategic planning, and school initiatives. Reporting to the Director, LSEHD Service Center, the Fiscal & Procurement Assistant ensures that administrative, financial, and operational systems and controls are properly maintained. The Fiscal & Procurement Assistant assists the team with matters related to budgets, reporting, procurement, travel, expenses, grants and graduate stipends while contributing to the teamâs effectiveness and successful daily operations.
The Fiscal & Procurement Assistant will be responsible for managing the daily procurement operations, processing vouchers and expense reimbursements, managing tracking, reporting and reconciliations and assisting with budgeting activities. The position works as part of a team to support the departments/centers and Faculty within LSEHD. Interaction with departments/centers outside LSEHD includes Procurement, Accounts Payable, Budget, and the Office for Sponsored Programs. The University policies and procedures must be understood and interpreted daily while simultaneously applying the procedures of the LSEHD and the Provost's office.
Hiring Range: $23.46/hr to $29.34/hr. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience working with budgets and preparing financial reports and possess strong teamwork, communication, and analytical skills.
A bachelorâs degree is preferred, although not required.
Three or more yearsâ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required as is an understanding of or demonstrated aptitude with budgetary and financial concepts.
Previous experience in a fast-paced, customer service environment is essential.
Academic experience, especially higher education, is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Space applications are required and experience using PeopleSoft financials or a comparable application is desirable.
