Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will perform mechanical and electrical breakdowns and repairs, specializing in maintenance on CNC Machine Shop machinery including mills and lathes, manual machines, grinders, and various other machinery and equipment such as motors, drives, and basic facilities maintenance when needed. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Maintenance Mechanic for our Global Headquarters in Chesterfield, MO. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and repair automated machinery and equipment such as CNC Machining Centers, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting and repair of machine tools and related shop equipment.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems of all production machinery, with a special focus on CNC machine shop machinery.
Perform repair functions for precision mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance, including electrical tasks.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLCs and VFDs (training provided if necessary).
Analyze circuits, wiring, and ladder diagrams to install and repair circuits.
Install and test electrical systems and control circuits.
Install and set up A/C and D/C drives.
Perform new equipment installation and major failure installs.
Assist with building maintenance and repairs as needed.
Monitor oil levels, clean coolers and drains in air compressors, and communicate with Maintenance Manager to schedule any required contractor services.
Maintain safety-related equipment and procedures.
Calculate and requisition supplies and materials needed for tasks such as pipe, wiring, and conduit installation.
Perform preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on material handling equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience; CNC equipment maintenance/repair preferred but not required.
3-5 years of electrical troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting experience on industrial machinery and equipment.
Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical breakdowns of machinery and equipment.
Experience with 480 volt and 3 phase motors.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience performing setups and adjustments of machinery and equipment.
Ability to install and set up A/C and D/C drives.
HVAC/plumbing experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in CNC tool machine maintenance, electrical and mechanical.
PLC experience or programming logic is a plus.
Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
CNC Machine Tool Maintenance and Repair experience.
Excellent electronic and mechanical diagnostic abilities.
Knowledge of parametric programming and ladder logic.
General knowledge of machine tools, shop equipment, and terminology.
Ability to maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Basic building maintenance and carpentry skills.

Work Environment
1 opening on 1st shift Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. Must be able to work overtime on Saturdays when necessary; currently working 10 hours of overtime per week. Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise, and moving parts. Climate-controlled environment. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and move about the facility and/or customer’s facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
