Adecco US, Inc. Batching Tech in Chester, Vermont

Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing plant in Chester, VT who is looking for additional Batching Assistants on all shifts! This is a temp-hire position.

Pay Rate:

  • 1st Shift-$17.00/hour

  • 2nd Shift-$19.50/hour

(Candidates who have previously worked in food manufacturing may be eligible for a higher rate based on their experience)

Hours :

  • 1st Shift: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Thursday

  • 2nd Shift: 5:00pm – 3:00am Monday - Thursday

Overtime :

  • Available

Summary:

Perform various duties in the preparation and production of multiple food products. Perform assigned responsibilities to support the safe and productive manufacture of quality product and to meet the goals of the Company.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and verify equipment, tools and mixing materials are ready for use at the start of each shift according to established procedures and batch schedule.

  • Prepare products based on given specifications, including measuring, and mixing ingredients, converting units of measure and keeping accurate records.

  • Ability to work without direct supervision and be self-motivated.

  • Operate mixing equipment in the preparation of all products.

  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with other mixing staff to ensure efficiency, quality and safety are always paramount.

  • Perform ongoing quality checks to be sure all ingredients and products are being mixed to specification.

  • Inform Mixing Supervisor or Quality Control staff of any inconsistencies noticed in raw materials or finished batches.

  • Adhere to, use and encourage Good Manufacturing Practices following all sanitation SOPs and production/mixing procedures and guidelines.

  • Follow lot control procedures and FIFO.

  • Maintain high cleanliness and quality standards.

  • Report any concerns immediately upon discovery and take and/or recommend steps to remediate.

  • Clean and sanitize equipment, tools and production room as needed.

  • Follow established procedures in the disassembly, cleaning, sanitation, and reassembly of all equipment and tools.

  • Adhere to, use and encourage safe work practices, following safety rules and regulations including but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out and personal protective equipment.

  • Report any potential safety hazards, near misses or injuries to the Batching Supervisor / Batching Manager.

  • Complete and submit required documentation for department.

  • Ensure a neat/clean/safe work area to prevent injury or product contamination.

  • Participate in maintaining a clean work environment through the remainder of the facility as needed.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with standards and requirements for food safety, GMP, SQF, and other regulatory or internal quality programs.

  • Cross train in and perform the duties of all Batching lines and Sanitation Technician as needed.

  • Collaborate, communicate, and meet with managers and other appropriate personnel to accomplish Company goals.

  • Attend meetings as required.Adhere to and follow all Company policies and procedures.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

  • Perform all duties in compliance with all SQF standards.

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and through written documentation. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Ability to comprehend, utilize and adjust computer controlled production equipment.

  • Ability to reason with and apply basic math, including use of calculator.

  • Basic mechanical skills.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $19.50 per hour
