Aerotek Concrete Carpenter in Chester, Virginia

Job Title: Concrete Carpenter

Job Description

We are hiring a concrete carpenter for industrial projects around Virginia and North Carolina. The individual must be capable of building rough wooden structures, such as concrete forms, shoring, and temporary frame structures according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions. The ideal candidate should also possess a secondary skill such as cement finishing or rod busting.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints

  • Assemble concrete forms

  • Possess welding experience and/or rod busting experience (preferred)

  • Perform concrete finishing tasks

Essential Skills

  • 3-5+ years of concrete carpentry experience (form and finishing) in an industrial environment

  • Experience in concrete foundation and form work

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding experience

  • Rod busting experience

  • Secondary skills in cement finishing

Work Environment

The individual will be working approximately 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm, in industrial environments. The projects require travel within Virginia and North Carolina, with hotel accommodations fully covered and a per diem of $50 per day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, Virginia.
