Job Title: Carpenter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with knowledge in structural and non-structural metal stud framing, commercial drywall installation, and blueprint reading. The ideal candidate will be adept at installing acoustical ceilings, windows, doors, and hardware, as well as measuring, cutting, and shaping materials on the job site. Compliance with onsite safety protocols and OSHA regulations is mandatory. Candidates must be willing to travel as required for the job and report back to the Foreman and Superintendent on job progress.
Responsibilities
Perform structural and non-structural metal stud framing
Install commercial drywall
Read and understand blueprints for layout
Install acoustical ceilings, windows, doors, and hardware
Measure, cut, and shape materials on the job site
Comply with onsite safety protocols
Travel as required for the job
Abide by OSHA compliance and best practices
Report problem areas to the Foreman and Superintendent

High school diploma or GED required
Apprentice or tech school degree preferred
3+ years of carpentry experience
Ability to carry drywall weighing roughly 50lbs
Ability to stand for 6-8 hours per day
Comfortable climbing ladders, bending, and squatting
Ability to carry a tool belt with tools up to 25lbs
10-hour OSHA certification preferred (willing to train/certify)
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (willing to train/certify)
Good judgement and decision-making abilities
Creative, flexible, excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with all levels of staff towards team and project goals

Work Environment
The work shift is from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with 40 to 50 hours a week and room for overtime. A half-hour lunch break is provided. The start time can possibly be as early as 6am. The company is a family-run firm with a close-knit team that values collaboration. The dress code includes field attire such as boots and polos.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $33.00
