Job Summary
Inventory and logistics manager for a fast-growing company that is part of a large global industrial products company. This person is responsible for managing inventory and coordinating logistics for finished good shipments, imported goods, and product returns globally. Unique opportunity in a fast-growing startup company to make an impact and help the organization grow. Looking for a self-starter with experience working in warehouse and production environment.
Responsibilities
Manage the flow of inventory in/out of our ERP system - assign and organize inventory locations
Process receipt of goods / Packaging of all shipments
Processing Import and Export operations from start to finish including processing Shipping Documents, sending customs clearance instructions and delivery of goods and documents to the warehouse/client. Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations and procedures.
Liaise with the forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely delivery of goods
Create and improve on standard work for inventory and logistics
Ensure and maintain accurate warehouse data with no variances
Coordinate regular inventory audits
All other reasonable duties that may be implied from the above, or that may be requested from time to time by the Company, within the context of the role.
Basic Qualifications
University degree preferred (Minimum HNC/D)
3+ years of experience with inventory management and global shipping
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and a can-do attitude is a must
Ability to take ownership of tasks & ensure they are followed through to completion.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- Fully site based
Key Competencies
Knowledge of Incoterms and various shipping options.
Experience with ERP systems like JD Edwards, SAP or similar (preferred)
Experience of working in a global environment (preferred)
Dangerous Goods Shipping/Packing Experience (preferred)
