Job Description

Collins Aerospace is looking for an Senior Manager Material at their Cheshire, CT location.

The Senior Manager Material will be responsible for leading a variety of disciplines (directly and indirectly) that support some of our higher profiles lines that produce product that integrate into the AIM9X missile and Javelin missile platforms.

This role will manage team of both experienced professionals and team leaders and owns the execution of long-term strategy. Provides leadership, coaching, and training for team. Must be highly skilled with the SAP MRP system. Must have experience with SAP at the user and managerial levels to include reports, troubleshooting, error codes, material masters, advanced planning optimizer, lead time scheduling, etc.. Coordinates SAP MRP knowledge, training, and system enhancements.

Position will work primarily onsite. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.

What You Will Do

  • Implements plans and prepares data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts as required

  • Ensures that material master data is accurate and compliant

  • Responsible for the implementation of the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP

  • Executes continuous management for the master demand schedule, including adherence to required validations using the best information available

  • Ensures schedules are level loaded with the corresponding impact analysis.

  • Responsible for production control activities such as material planning and production scheduling

  • Manages the transportation and delivery of outbound finished products. Supports the work transfer process as required

  • Manages in process (WIP), promise dating, and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow

  • Drives tracking and shipping process

  • Accountable for inventory to include forecasting, accuracy (cycle counting), vender managed inventory coordination, safety stock levels, lean plan for every part.

  • Responsible for the implementation of plans to minimize risks for shortages and ensures successful customer delivery

  • Responsible for Non Product 3rd Party Vendor

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  • Manufacturing/production experience

  • Graduate degree

  • Talent in critical thinking and innovation

  • Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust

  • Capable of multi-tasking and handling several assignments simultaneously

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
