Description
We are looking for an experienced technical writer to join our team of SOP Specialists in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data operations. This team plays a critical role in annotating data delivered to customers in the Rufus and Alexa Shopping businesses, such as SDEs and Data Scientists, for use in developing LLM and other machine learning models. It develops and manages artifacts for evaluating CX features in order to ensure that annotated data used in improving machine learning models exceeds the quality bar. The SOP Specialist must have a passion for writing instructions and user manuals.
Key job responsibilities
Working with product managers, data scientists, and SDEs to understand technical requirements for data evaluation for new and existing CX features
Authoring, maintaining, and improving SOPs for data operations teams to use in annotation
Ensuring high-quality deliveries under aggressive and agile deadlines
Resolving SOP clarification questions from stakeholder teams
Collaborating with team members to maximize productivity and process efficiency through process standardization, strong process documentation, and analysis

Basic Qualifications
Degree in a writing/language field, such as Technical Writing, Linguistics, or English Literature
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an editor or technical writer
Native/near-native level of English (American English preferred)
Experience with stakeholder engagement, such as customer meetings and document proposals
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with markup languages such as HTML and XML
Experience in writing SOPs/user manuals
Experience in project management
