We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS and a strong background in DevOps to join our team in a large-scale organization.

As the DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the server infrastructure in a cloud-based environment, specifically focusing on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Windows environments. Your role will involve ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our systems, as well as automating deployment and operations using DevOps practices. Strong knowledge and Hands on experience of AWS infrastructure components, native service offerings, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps tools and methodologies (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins etc.). The role requires working at the intersection of development and operations, with a focus on using an infrastructure as code (IaC) tool to automate and manage the deployment of infrastructure. Experience in with various scripting languages on the Windows operating system to automate tasks, manage configurations, and facilitate system administration is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure code using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins or alike to define and provision cloud resources in a consistent and repeatable manner. This includes creating and managing configurations for infrastructure components such as virtual machines, networks, storage, and other resources

  • Implement automation processes to streamline and enhance the efficiency of infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management.

  • Work closely with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements, provide infrastructure solutions, and support the development lifecycle.

  • Manage and version infrastructure code using version control systems such as Git to track changes, collaborate with team members, and roll back to previous versions when needed.

  • Possess expertise in one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and leverage Terraform or similar to interact with these platforms, managing infrastructure resources in a cloud-agnostic way whenever possible.

  • Integrate Terraform scripts into CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of infrastructure changes, ensuring faster and more reliable releases.

  • Implement security best practices in infrastructure code, ensuring that deployments are compliant with security policies. This includes managing access controls, encryption, and monitoring for security vulnerabilities.

  • Set up monitoring and logging for infrastructure components to identify issues, troubleshoot, and optimize performance. Integrate Terraform or similar with monitoring tools to provide visibility into the health of the infrastructure.

  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure code, processes, and configurations. This documentation should facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of team members.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure deployment and configuration, collaborating with relevant teams to implement solutions.

  • Participate in daily standup and other SCRUM ceremonies.

  • Participate in security event mitigation as needed.

  • Test recovery procedures.

  • Manage autoscaling services, as required.

  • Manage and maintain the Server infrastructure in a cloud-based environment, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Ensure the availability, security, and performance of servers, resolving any issues or incidents that may arise.

  • Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to automate deployment and operations using DevOps practices.

  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, focusing on automation and streamlining of processes.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices related to Windows administration, AWS, and DevOps.

  • Experience with PowerShell to write scripts to automate tasks, manage Windows components, retrieve system information, and interact with numerous services.

  • Knowledge of Windows server configuration, DNS, DHCP, IIS, security principles, system administration, Active Directory use and setup of group policies.

    Experience and/or Education Qualification:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 7 – 9 Years Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a large-scale organization.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, and Group Policy.

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with automating deployment and operations.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, and troubleshooting network-related issues.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar, are a plus.

  • Fluent in written and verbal communication in English.
