Software Development Engineer

What is the job about?
Primary responsibility will be verification of the integrated product build release, push the defects to the respective teams to fix and ensure the fix is a part of the new release build. We work in an agile environment where flexibility is a natual thing as well as the ability to plan your own day
Your main responsibilities:
Support test set-up and maintenance.
Test plan / test case / test environment preparation and remove roadblocks in developing them.
Creating and automatically generating Test Reports
End-to-end System Testing as required
Field issues support
Test automation
Configuration management
Work closely with Platform & Product teams in reporting the defects coming out of the integrated build and ensuring the fix is delivered.
Publish status reports at a defined frequency
Have an understanding of Embedded concepts at SW as well HW levels.
Have good understanding of software failures
Knowledge on Black box and White box testing
Test principles, test oriented development, test automation and writing test cases.
Experience in using the protocol testing/analyzer tools for testing protocols (Wireshark, Modscan, Modbus Conformance Tool, Bacnet …).
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Java Script
Skills to understand a System, Products, modules and their boundaries.
Knowledge on basic uses of multimeter and CRO/DSO
SW testing tools at unit level. Preferably – CPPUnit, Google test, Pygeta
Good understanding on CI/CD process and deployment. Working experience of Jenkins, pipelines.
Working experience of version control tool GIT.

Experience of 5+ years of relevant work experience after formal degree of B.E/ B. Tech, M.E/M.Tech (Electronics Background
