Primary Responsibilities:
Design, implement and maintain Java application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes
Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA
Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
Fix production and non-production application issues
Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize application
Provide technical support and consultation for the application and infrastructure questions Serve as a mentor to less experienced Developers

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
Experience in providing technical guidance and inculcating engineering best practices within development teams
Experience with Azure storage, Azure Services
Experience with DevOps Tools like Jenkins Deploy
Experience in conducting design and code reviews
Experience creating version management strategy and working knowledge of version control systems like Git/GitHub
Solid experience developing web applications on the Java platform (Spring, Spring Boot Azure,SPARK,PL/SQL Web Services)
Knowledge of data model design and implementation for solutions from high level requirement
Solid knowledge of RDBMS and experience working with SQL Server/Oracle and No SQL including writing complex join queries and SQL query tuning
Exposure to complete software product lifecycle encompassing requirements analysis, prototyping, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment
Ability to code with good JUNIT coverage and code quality
Great level of engagement in scrum activities especially in planning and grooming calls
Proven ability to independently troubleshoot problems and zero in on the likely root causes for Sev1 production issues
Proven ability to be ready to participate in deployment activities and production incident resolution
Proven proactive in identifying and escalating potential risks and impediments and coming up with alternative solutions
Proven appetite for understanding Business requirements, its highly important to understand business and the requirements that come up from time to time very thoroughly
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Cloud based technologies such as azure technologies
Experience with JAVA Spark systems
Experience working in teams following Agile development methodologies (Iterative, Scrum)
Sound understanding of basic operating system and networking concepts
Ability to do POC on emerging tech stack
