Oracle Principal Application Engineer in CHENNAI, India

Job Description

  • 10+ years of development experience on J2EE platforms, Microservices architecture UI stack, Database Programming

  • Must have Hands on experience developing microservices using spring boot on oracle cloud platform

  • Must have Hands on experience in development of Banking application with good knowledge of Banking domain

  • Good to have Flexcube development experience

  • Must have excellent knowledge of Java/JEE technologies and frameworks such as JPA, JDBC, Web Services paradigms like REST, RDBMS (preferably Oracle)

  • Must have experience in JavaScript development, Good to have OJET - Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit knowledge/devep,ent experience

  • In Depth knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL Programming, Experience in building highly scalable large scale applications using Oracle PL/SQL

  • In-depth understanding of RDBMS concepts, and expertise in writing advanced SQL queries

  • Experience in architecting/designing large scalable applications is a must

  • Design and Develop highly efficient code for the product.

  • Detailed knowledge on SOAP and RESTful services

  • Experience with UNIX (one of Linux) and Windows

  • Experience in the development and maintenance of unit tests using a testing framework, such as JUnit, is highly desirable

  • Good to have experience with one or more web application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, etc.)

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Should be strong communicator and able to articulate ideas clearly.

  • Experience in AI/ML, Data Science is an added advantage

  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

  • Translate business needs into viable technical solutions

  • Co-ordination within team and across global IT teams

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Self motivated with demonstrated investigative skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Good to have Release Management Experience like DevOps, Jenkins and CI/CD

  • BS/MS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent. Graduate degree (M.Tech./M.S./B.Tech./M.Sc./M.C.A.) with aggregate of 60% or above

Responsibilities

  • Analyse, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications.

  • Lead a small team of developers and take ownership of deliverable and complete in short span of time with good quality and efficiency.

  • Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

  • As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications.

  • Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture.

  • Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs.

  • Build and execute unit tests and unit plans.

  • Review integration and regression test plans created by QA.

  • Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

  • Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment.

  • Fully competent in own area of expertise.
