This position holder needs to handle suppliers and internal customers for Purchase activity and independently should handle all indirect purchase order

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect goods and services.

• Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify best competitive suppliers for Quality/Performance/cost-saving opportunities (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/indirect-buyer) .

• Identify, evaluate, Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms and ensure long-term partnerships.

• Purchasing includes Capex/Opex/Services/Production operation related consumables.

• Generate and analyse procurement reports to support decision-making.

• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/indirect-buyer) and ensuring contracts are executed properly.

• Focus on reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for indirect purchases.

• Work closely with internal customers to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly. Monitor and control the spend (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/indirect-buyer) based on Material request against the Forecast.

• Execute procurement processes, including requisitions and purchase orders.

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/indirect-buyer) and ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate procurement data in systems like SAP (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/indirect-buyer) & reports in the form of files. Generate reports to track spending and procurement activities.

• Provide support and guidance throughout the procurement cycle (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/indirect-buyer) .

• Promote the adoption of e-procurement solutions and other innovative tools.

• Support business transformation initiatives through effective procurement (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/indirect-buyer) .

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with indirect procurement (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/indirect-buyer) .

• Promote the adoption of digital tools and innovative solutions to streamline procurement processes and support business transformation.

• Conduct market assessments and benchmarking to support the development of procurement strategies.
