Citigroup Engineering Lead Analyst - Caching Technologies in Chennai, India
We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated senior engineer with 8-10 years of expertise in caching technologies and cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Redis, Couchbase, including system design, deployment and management across both on-premises and public cloud environments. Proficiency in API management is essential, and experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB is a valuable plus.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop the highly available, scalable, and resilient Architecture for high performance application using Redis and Couchbase .
Develop and design data models as per business requirements and performance objectives.
Ensure data consistency, durability, and scalability in Redis deployments.
Develop and maintain Redis and Couchbase based caching layers for applications.
Deploy, configure, and manage on-premises/Public Cloud Redis and Couchbase clusters, replication, and sharding for high
availability and horizontal scaling and ensuring optimal performance.
Design, implement, and manage APIs for database and caching services.
Implement and manage persistent storage solutions to ensure data durability and reliability.
Work with various storage technologies and strategies to support data integrity and high performance.
Manage Couchbase and Redis clusters, both on-premises and in the cloud.
Configure backups and support restorations based on business requirements.
Optimize Redis data structures for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Optimize Couchbase data models, indexes, and queries for efficient data retrieval.
Develop and maintain Redis scripts, modules, and tools for automation and monitoring.
Work closely cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database, caching, API, and storage solutions.
Troubleshoot and optimize Redis performance, memory usage, and latency issues.
Analyze and optimize cache performance, eviction policies, and cache coherency.
Monitor and optimize API usage and performance, integrating with existing systems as needed.
Monitor storage performance and adjust to improve efficiency and scalability.
Analyze and optimize query performance, database indexes, and storage strategies.
Provide technical support and guidance on database, caching, API, and storage-related issues to other team members.
Ensure security standards are followed at all the layer and comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
Ensure API security, performance, and scalability.
Implement data encryption, access controls, and participate in Systems Audit
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database, API, and system configurations, procedures, and policies.
Establish and promote best practices for caching systems, database, API development, deployment, and monitoring.
Stay up to date with Redis versions, features, and best practices.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Key Requirements
8-10 Years of experience in managing and developing Redis and Couchbase caching systems.
In-depth knowledge of Couchbase and Redis architecture, configuration, and performance tuning.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native tools for database, caching, and storage management.
Experience with persistent storage technologies and data durability strategies.
Experience with API management, including design, implementation, and monitoring.
Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform).
Strong Understanding of NoSQL databases, distributed systems, and data storage principles.
Experience with PostgreSQL and vector databases, including performance tuning and optimization is an added advantage.
Experience with MongoDB design, deployment in both on-prim/public cloud is an added advantage.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent Communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
