Job Summary
Comcast Network Facilities & Energy team is looking for a Tools Support Engineer on the Critical Infrastructure Tools Integration team. The successful candidate will have experience in the following critical domains and have a history of working with the following Data Center Tools & Skills: • Scripting in Python and Java Script Object Notation • Experience using and supporting Linux Operating Systems • Experience using and supporting Windows Operating Systems o Services – validate state, starting/stopping, Log on as… o Common Command Prompt knowledge – ping, tracert, ipconfig… o Disk Manager, Server Manager, Task Manager, Task Scheduler o Event Management Investigation / Logfile review • Experience troubleshooting device connectivity issues using Windows & Linux • Effective problem-solving skills using toolsets such as Grafana to resolve root cause. • Work closely with users to understand their requirements, share knowledge, and evangelize cloud-native standard methodologies.

Responsibilities
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Work with both internal and external groups to ensure OS and Application patching is being completed and any security vulnerabilities are being addressed.
Troubleshoot & resolve or escalate application or end user issues.
Work with senior Engineers to develop Technical Documentation for consistent repeatable processes.
Keeps current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Utilizes JSON, SQL, or Scripting (as needed) to create data portability between Applications
Qualifications
2+ years experience in Scripting
2+ years experience OS Support – both Linux & Windows
Good understanding of DNS, TCP/IP (addressing and Subnetting), SNMP, Active Directory configurations, protocols
Understanding of MIB files, usage, and OIDs

Bachelor's Degree
