Job Purpose :

The DevOps Engineer III plays a pivotal role in our IT and Systems Development team. This role focuses on refining, automating, and optimizing our software development and deployment pipeline. The successful candidate will work closely with the development, operations, QA, and business teams to ensure the continuous and reliable delivery of software products in dedicated, multi-tenant, or hybrid cloud environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Automation & Tooling:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize automation tools and frameworks, including Copado and Jenkins, to streamline the software development and deployment processes.

  • Continually assess and introduce new tools and technologies to ensure efficient and effective operations.

  • Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and other IT staff to understand the needs, challenges, and bottlenecks in the development and deployment process.

  • Act as a bridge between operations and development teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and optimize cloud resources and infrastructure to support various applications and environments.

  • Implement infrastructure as code practices for scalability and easy replication.

  • Continuous Integration & Delivery:

  • Design, set up, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Copado and Jenkins.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

  • Performance Monitoring:

  • Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance, ensuring reliability and uptime.

  • Analyze incidents and outages, then implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.

  • Security & Compliance:

  • Embed security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle.

  • Ensure that infrastructure, applications, and operations adhere to company policies and compliance standards.

  • Continuous Learning & Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices.

  • Recommend innovations and improvements based on industry trends and personal research.

  • Four years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • 7-10 Years

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (https://my.adp.com/?legacySOR=Vantage#SkillsandAbilities)

  • 7-10 years of experience in a DevOps, Systems Engineer, or similar role.

  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD tools, and scripting languages.

  • Hands-on experience with Copado and Jenkins is preferred.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • For remote work scenarios, a reliable and fast internet connection is essential.
