Job Description Senior Manager of Development Engineering At Tokyo Manufacturing and Engineering of America (TMEA) - TEL we are a leading global company of innovation semiconductor production equipment. The design engineering team at TMEA is involved in the entire lifecycle of product development. Electrical and mechanical engineers are responsible for identifying new products and technologies related to equipment design. They also create models and prototypes for evaluating designs to performance. This is a collaborative team with strong technical knowledge, creative problem solving, and skilled project management. Job Responsibilities: Direct and manage the technical activities of a successful hardware design team to continue organizational success. Plan and coordinate mechanical engineering projects and teams to schedule Lead department-level initiatives; establish team objectives and assign resources Author and manage annual forecast budget plan Oversee and align directly with team to ensure successful project execution to budget and schedule Collaborate with TMEA management team to align on objectives and priorities Effectively lead team in TMEA processes to meet quality objectives Build engineering team including hiring and on-boarding, performance management and mentoring. Engage and assist internal and external customers utilizing excellent communication and professional acumen fostering trust and collaboration. Daily applies expert knowledge and critical thinking skills to navigate complex problems and strategies to lead a team of high successful professional innovators. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering or science related field Ten years (10) of professional experience in related field Preferred Requirements: Experience with equipment design; semiconductor or electronic industry preferred Knowledge of CREO, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or similar platforms Personnel and project management skills Strong communication and conflict resolution skills Ability to work on multiple projects at various stages Physical Job Requirements: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
