Aerotek Production Lead / Machine Operator in CHASKA, Minnesota
Job Description:
As a Production Lead/Machine Operator, you will play a dual role, leading production staff while also operating machinery. Working closely with the Production Manager, you will oversee a team of operators involved in manufacturing custom-made gaskets. Your responsibilities will include machine setup, troubleshooting, daily operation, and training of die-cutting presses and laminators. You’ll ensure smooth production by reviewing orders and working with your team to meet quality and scheduling targets. While your focus may be on specific machines, you’ll receive comprehensive training across all production processes and equipment. A strong understanding of product quality, processes, and AS9100 standards compliance is essential to excel in this role.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating a range of machinery, including die-cutters such as Cheisa, Preco, and Samco, as well as laminators and water and laser jets. Additionally, you should possess excellent leadership skills to effectively guide and direct other operators. Communication is key, both with your team members and with leadership, ensuring everyone is aligned towards common goals. Familiarity with MRP systems like Epicor will be advantageous.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1+ years of machine operation experience preferably from the printing industry (die cutting, kiss cutting, laminator machine, slitter machine) experience operating machines and running the equipment. Strong Math skills Able to work independently. Experience working with Samco, Preco, and Lamination (non-printing).
